Air Day

Can you believe it's August 1st!? 4 months ago today we left Halifax.

Today was Air Day at Culdrose. Since I was working I wasn't able to check out the festivities. Rachel called to see if I wanted to go with her but I couldn't...dammit! Who invented work anyway? Haha. Apparently it was pretty busy. The traffic leaving Helston as I was coming home was insane. The radio said people were waiting in the parking lot line ups for two hours to get off the base at supper time. Ouch! Keith had to work on the duty desk for an hour so he went in at 2pm and came home at 6pm...too many people he said.

Dropped by Chris's today during my lunch to say our goodbyes and pick up a bunch of stuff he's leaving for Kotzer who just arrived. He heads out to London tomorrow and flies home to Halifax on Saturday. He also saved all his left over booze for Keith and I so I pretty much went off with a liquor cabinet! Peach Schnapps, Blue Curacao, Triple Sec, Scotch, Jagermeister (Gag!), and several other bottles. We now need a separate room just for our alcohol! He also gave us his Playstation 2 as I mentioned awhile back I'd like to have it if he was getting rid of it. Sweet deal. Always good to have. Not sure if it'll stand up to the Atari we have though.

Dropped the stuff off to Laura & Mark and visited for a bit. Their shipment arrives on Friday so they're pretty excited to get settled as they've been living in hotels for a month now. While I visited, Keith mowed the lawn and trimmed the hedge - visiting is so much more interesting. Now it's time to hit the hay.
