Shopping In Birmingham At Bullring

Shopping day! I feel like I'm back home in Ingonish where you have to travel to Sydney to go shopping and it's an exciting event since there's no shopping in Ingonish. There is more shopping here than at home, but you do feel somewhat cut off - atleast in comparison to living in Dartmouth, 5 minutes away from the Mic Mac Mall.

We travelled to Birmingham which is approx 20 minutes from Emma's. We first shopped at Matalan's which is somewhat like a Winner's I suppose, but more organized. I treated myself to a great pair of brown pumps. I fell in love and couldn't part with them. Next we went to the Bullring. http://www.bullring.co.uk/website/Default.aspx

Wow! This place is massive. I don't know if I can even explain. There's a huge mall, that opens up onto a pedestrian street of many more shops, China Town is just around the corner, and there are vendors lining the courtyards. No shortage of things to buy. We spent all afternoon here, and enjoyed some fantastic Chinese/Vietnemese (sp?) gourmet for lunch. As you can see from the picture, Emma and I found some funny hats to model. Hats are a big thing here...don't think you'll see me taking advantage of the fashion!
