Another week ahead to get things done - doctor's apt, placing duty free order, sending mother's day cards, Mac upgrade, sending Ryan Spearin's gift, birthday shopping for Matthew, railcard renewal, and the list goes on.....
I finally booked my travel to London. I had planned to take the overnight sleeper train but it was going to cost £100. I continued searching for another option and discovered it would cost less to stay in London for the night. So I booked a train up in the afternoon of May 19 and a hotel for the night and it's costing more than half the price at £45! I'll also be able to get a better sleep hopefully as the sleeper can be soothing but rough at the same time. I just have to catch the tube to Gatwick Tuesday morning and I'll be on my way home!
Also finished mine and Tanya's (cousin) main travel plans. Bought our train tickets back to here when we arrive in London on June 25th and booked our hotel room in London for early July when we spend a few days before she flies out. I'll still have to do a few other arrangements as we may stay in Bath for a night before we go to London.
Placed our duty free order today. We want to make sure we have it in time for our Canada Day festivities on Saturday, June 28th.
Customs take awhile to clear orders so we have to give plenty of notice.
