Mark Kotzer - another Canadian exchange officer - arrived last night. He's here on his Destination Inspection Trip (DIT). He and his family will be arriving here the end of July for a 3 year posting and will be living 4 houses down from us! We're happy to have some Canadians so close. I met Mark a few times in Shearwater when I was bartending, but haven't seen him since then (2000?). I have a feeling we'll be getting to know he and his wife Laura quite well.
I gave Mark the Helston tour as he had a list of things to get done while here. Then we headed into Falmouth for a quick visit so he could purchase a cell phone. Keith was finished work at lunch time so the three of us went to the Rodney Inn for a few beer. I tried their Rattler Cider - this was the first and last time I will experience that bite. Yuck! Since I'm not a beer drinker, I am taking up drinking and tasting a variety of ciders. Some are good and some are not so good! For dinner we checked out a pub we've heard numerous accolades about, the Halzephron Inn. It was a nice pub with good food and after done, Mark was ready to crash due to a bit of jet lag.
