Aaaaahhhhhh....just spoke to Concorde Recruitment and once again, no luck. Apparently, it was down to me and another girl. Why do I keep getting so close? Reflex Marine unfortunately didn't provide Concorde with any feedback, so I don't know why the other girl was chosen over me. I just might have to be a 'lady of leisure' afterall since it doesn't seem I'm meant to work here! However, I would go mad not working while I'm here. Well, if I can think of an up side to this, I don't believe I would have been very challenged in this position and it would not have furthered my career as much as I'd like. But the team environment would have been great - that's what I was most interested in - to have a close knit group like at Jacques. I'm hoping to take back to Canada as much experience as I can to roll into a career in HR when I return. That would be my goal, however I've been told by a few recruiters that HR positions are few and far between in Cornwall, so I might not have much luck with that plan. Anyway, back to the drawing board! I'm a believer in fate, but this is getting a bit ridiculous!
I think Keith and I are going out for Indian food tonight, so that'll be good. I think I might have to have a drink or two! After his night out with the course last night, he's a bit bagged and might not be up for drinks!
