Registered With Concorde Recruitment

Went into Truro today to register with Concorde Recruitment. I love some of these Brits - they're such characters. And some so much like East Coasters in their personalities and sense of humor. For the most part people are welcoming and friendly, but some are even more so and immediately you feel comfortable with them and like you've known them for years. The lady that I dealt with was wonderful and so down to earth. Her parents had actually just visited Halifax and PEI last summer and loved it. But who wouldn't right? I decided to register not only for permanent work, but for temp as well. I figured, why not. Might be fun to have a few temp jobs here and there before a perm one. She also forwarded my CV (resume) for one of the perm jobs she thought I might be a fit for. Guess we'll see how it goes.

Quite the rain today. I swear the heavens opened up a few times. Coming back from Truro I had to put the high speed wipers on and in several areas I think I drove through a lagoon! By the time I was back home it stopped and I drove Keith to the bike shop to pick up his motorbike. It's finally somewhat road ready - well except for UK registration and insurance - minor details! Haha. Someday he may actually be able to ride it.

We whipped up some scallop and prawn kabobs for supper on the barby and relaxed with a few drinks for the night.
